Hello, hopefully nobody is reading this blog anymore. It was to remain here and serve as a home for a lot of photos of mine, but I was foolish when uploading the photos and I uploaded them to flickr. Now I need that flicker space, which requires taking the photos down. They likely won't be put back up again. I may even take this blog down for good. I haven't decided.
It's not all bad news here though. I have a new, superior blog that you can see at:

I'm switching to WordPress... probably permanently. I don't fee like I am losing much doing this as I don't have a whole lot of followers here and I like the look of WordPress a bit better. The link is:
Eventually I'll switch my domain name (www.frestepi.com) to the WordPress blog, but until then, it'll look be this link. I hope to see you all at my new blog!

Something about photography that I have always found gratifying is looking back on old images and finding new meaning in them. On occasion, when initially reviewing your spoils for the day, you miss some real gems. This photo is one that I not only don't remember ever taking, but I also do not remember having ever seen it. It's a shame, really, because this particular photo could possibly be one of my favorites from the whole shoot. I'm not sure what it was about this image that made me gloss over it the first time, but It's really rewarding to look back and find something new in old photos.

As a general rule I don't shoot the weddings of friends and family, it's just too nerve-racking. I don't want to be the one to ruin a once-in-a-lifetime event. However, when one of your best friends and his fiancé who you've known for several years and seen grow into the person she is today ask you for a favor... well... I have a very hard time saying "No." So, with that said, here are some photos from the engagement shoot that I did with them. I wish them both the best and I know that this marriage is one that was meant to be. They're going to be happy for a long, long time. Congratulations, guys.
